Lydia is the most sought after animal communicator around. Her childhood dream of becoming a fairy godmother to animals seems to have come true. Her clients come from every state in the U.S. and European countries galore. People so different... yet sharing the love of their pet and their belief in Lydia's gift. Her client list numbers over 60,000 over 20 years, and many began as skeptics. Lydia likes skeptics, she says, and believes that once she proves herself to a skeptic that skeptic becomes her best publicity. AMERICAN BLONDE’s New “Quicksand” Video Uses Natural World To Captivate

Aura Of Urgency & Need Create Tidal Pull On Senses

Nashville, TN (October 21, 2021) – American Blonde’s music video, “Quicksand,” offers fans mesmerizing viewing. While the focus is on the natural beauty of Nata and Tinka Morris – the siblings who are American Blonde – videographer Ryan Slattery (Jackson Gillies, Rachel Ross, DJ Unieq) deftly crafts a magical world using powerful contrasts between dappled sunlight and dark, “evil” woods, open fields and confining trails, and by alternating spatial separation and intimacy between the actors. Nata’s regal and controlled movements play off Tinka’s wilder, hair-swirling, head-banging drumming. Ethereal silk dresses are offset with delicate chains and kick-a** boots. There is smoke but no mirrors, big city band action in a half-mown hay field, a barn with no livestock and two women but no men. It’s a rabbit hole of the best kind . . . a tidal pull on the senses that creates a compelling aura of urgency and need. The video was filmed at The Gathering Place in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The Southern Rock-inspired anthem, written by Nata and frequent collaborator Jimmy Nash ("More Than Crazy" Jane By Design, "We Are Made Of Stars" Teen Mom 2) “Quicksand” was released to Country radio last month. The tune quickly racked up over 200,000 streams and is featured on several Spotify playlists - Fresh Finds: Country, Country Summer Vibes, Today’s Country Hits and more. Produced by Cliff Downs, it is the first single for the duo and is available for purchase everywhere.

ABOUT AMERICAN BLONDE
A powerhouse of talent, principal songwriter/guitarist Nata and drummer Tinka Morris bring to life the energetic and raw sounds of the Delta – and give testament to the land that nurtured them. As youngsters, they were drawn to the extensive live music scene around their Cleveland, Mississippi hometown – the festivals, fairs and fish fries where music was front and center. The sounds of The Eagles, B.B. King, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Elvis, Stevie Nicks and more echoed throughout their home. Entertainers since their pre-teen years, the siblings have literally lived their lives in the spotlight - and loved every minute of it. Their determination and talent earned them a slot competing in the 2014 Texaco Country Showdown, which led to the release of their first EP (produced by Alabama’s Jeff Cook). Two well-received CDs, released in 2015 and 2018 (produced by hit songwriters Gerald O’ Brien and Catt Gravitt), followed. They landed three Top 25 hits on the MusicRow Chart with “Anything Is Possible,” “I Think Too Much” and “Don’t Let Another Day Go By.” They’ve toured throughout the U.S. and the U.K., sharing the stage with diverse acts, including Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Brantley Gilbert, Easton Corbin, B.B. King, and others. Their high-energy stage shows have earned them spots at CMA Fest, Bluebird Café, The GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi, and The GRAMMY Museum® Los Angeles, among other high-profile venues. The Morris sisters call Nashville home.

Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department (Animal Services) and Friends of Miami
Animals Foundation Inc. (FoMA) are partnering to launch Wellness of Wheels (WOW), a mobile
pet veterinary service, through FoMA's donation of a Mobile Wellness Unit and generous
$500,000 contribution.
With the new Mobile Wellness Unit, Animal Services and FoMA aim to improve the wellbeing of
Miami-Dade County pets in need of wellness services at a time when many pet parents are
juggling finances to meet their basic necessities. Pets will receive free medical care through the
WOW unit including physical exams, wellness vaccines and boosters, heartworm and fecal
parasite screening, deworming, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, ear cleaning, nail trimming
and referrals for spay/neuter surgery or other needed medical services. FoMA will pay for one
year of staffing, equipment and supplies, and Animal Services will operate the WOW unit for two
additional years.
The WOW unit will be rolling into selected communities, including Miami Gardens, Little Havana,
Liberty City, Homestead, and the Redlands. Miami-Dade County pet owners will be able either
walk-in or schedule appointments for their pets by contacting 311.
"FoMA exists to save and improve the lives of homeless pets in Miami-Dade County. The best
way we can do that is to prevent pets from becoming homeless in the first place. Medical
concerns are among the leading reasons that owners surrender or abandon their pets, and if we
can instead help keep those animals in forever families that love them by supporting Animal
Services in this endeavor--that is absolutely achieving our mission,” said Yolanda Berkowitz,
FoMA Founder and President. “By providing free services for families who are struggling to
afford veterinary care through the mobile wellness unit, we are closing the gap for at-risk pets."
The WOW is one of several initiatives Animal Services and FoMA have partnered on to improve
the welfare of pets in Miami-Dade County.

RALEIGH, NC (August 5, 2021) - The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the health of all dogs and their owners, announces that Dr. Cynthia Otto is the recipient of the 2021 Asa Mays, DVM Excellence in Canine Health Research Award.

Named for Dr. Asa Mays, a member of CHF’s first Board of Directors in 1995, the award is a biennial honor presented to a research investigator who demonstrates meritorious achievements in furthering the mission of identifying, characterizing, and treating canine disease and ailments. Stephanie A. Montgomery, DVM, PhD, DACVP, Chair of CHF’s Scientific Review Committee, will present the award during the 2021 AKC Canine Health Foundation National Parent Club Canine Health Conference on Saturday, August 14. The conference, sponsored by Purina, will follow a virtual format this year and features distinguished researchers presenting the latest medical and scientific advancements in canine health.

The cornerstone of Dr. Otto’s AKC Canine Health Foundation funded research has been the 9/11 Medical Surveillance Study, now in its 20th year. Since 2001, Dr. Otto has received almost $600,000 in funding to study the physical and behavioral consequences of search and rescue dog deployment to the 9/11 disaster sites. To date, the work has produced 11 peer-reviewed publications describing the short and long-term effects of deployment on toxicology, behavior, mortality, the dog-handler relationship, and more. Findings will help us protect not only the health and safety of search and rescue dogs, but provide valuable translational information benefitting the health of human handlers and first responders.

“Dr. Otto’s groundbreaking research and dedication to advancing the health of working dogs and their handlers exemplifies the AKC Canine Health Foundation’s mission and vision,” says Dr. Montgomery. “This One Health approach can accelerate medical discoveries that impact both species. We are honored to present Dr. Otto with this award and look forward to our continued collaboration to benefit the health of all dogs and their owners.”

Data analysis from the 9/11 Medical Surveillance Study is ongoing with funding through CHF Grant 02322: Analysis of the Health, Behavioral, and Longevity Data Collected in the 9/11 Medical Surveillance Longitudinal Study. This work is part of CHF’s $11.4M active research portfolio encompassing all aspects of canine health. View CHF’s Research Grants Portfolio at akcchf.org/portfolio.

Below are the details for our event that is starting Saturday.  It was going to be started Sunday on National CBD Day, but I wanted to have it active for your show, Talkin' Pets

We have worked alongside a variety of animal rescues and shelters and have seen CBD provide these organizations a critical tool for decreasing animal stress during fire evacuations, transport, and from sometimes crowded shelter conditions.

We have also seen CBD provide some of our dog shelters with an invaluable tool to meet the needs of their more challenging cases, many of whom have chronic health issues, injuries, and behavioral challenges caused by chronic neglect or abuse.

Two of the rescues we have worked with really go above and beyond.  They both are entirely funded by donations, and focus on the “hard cases”.  The dogs that will be difficult or expensive to find homes for.  Many of these dogs are the victims of abuse, neglect, injuries, or abandonment.  Dogs that are older, have broken legs, pneumonia, parvo, severe skin infections, or have been starved.  In most shelters these dogs would be euthanized, but they are given a chance because of the work of rescues like Northwest Dog Project and Love Leo.

In observance of National CBD Day, Green Element is running a “BUY 1 GIVE 1” promotion to benefit our partners at Northwest Dog Project and Love Leo.  Rather than giving our customers a discount for National CBD Day, we are asking them to join us in "paying it forward" to support the work these groups do.

For every bottle of Green Element Hemp Oil for Pets that is purchased through our website between August 7th and August 22, we will give a free bottle to Northwest Dog Project and Love Leo.

Information about both rescues below:
