No Stressed Pets This Holiday Season
-Pet Acoustics calms anxious pets with holiday music specially composed in frequencies pets like best.
(Washington Depot, Conn.) November 17, 2016- The holidays are not just a stressful time for owners, it can be a very anxious time for pets as well: new places, new people and new sounds. Music has the power to heal, relax and comfort during times of stress, but our pets hear in different frequencies than we do. Janet Marlow, sound behaviorist and Founder and CEO of Pet Acoustics, Inc. is proud to offer a solution for stressed pets this holiday season, through Pet Acoustics Holiday Music for use with Pet Tunes pre-loaded Bluetooth® speakers.
This collection of music provides pets and pet parents a gentle and calm atmosphere during the holiday season and is proven to alleviate anxious behaviors in dogs and cats. Original holiday orchestrations, composed by Marlow are designed with species-specific hearing sensitivities in mind. High frequencies and jarring volumes are agitating to dogs and cats for example and have therefore been eliminated from the music.
“When you play the holiday music through the Bluetooth® speakers, not only is it enjoyable for our ears, but you can immediately notice the pets connecting with the music and experiencing signs of relaxation,” said Marlow. “Separation anxiety, travel nerves, noise phobias are at a high this time of year, and I’m so thrilled to provide a safe, natural and easy solution to help our pets manage.”
Pet Acoustics offers two options for pet owners: the Pet Tunes mobile Bluetooth® speaker, pre-loaded with soothing music and Holiday Music CD and chip or the Ultra Calmer canine stress relief sonic collar for on the go pets. The speaker is great for pets staying home that may experience separation anxiety or noise phobias, while the sonic collar is great to have while in the car or on board a plane.

Parton’s Imagination Library reaches one million books distributed each month
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (November 16, 2016) – Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which began as a small community outreach in Parton’s native Sevier County, Tennessee, has evolved to become the largest literacy program in the world. In December, the “little literacy program that could” marks another impressive milestone—one million books gifted to children around the world each month.
To celebrate the unprecedented success, Evey Johns, a two-year-old from Conway, Arkansas who just enrolled in the Imagination Library, has been randomly selected to receive a $30,000 college scholarship. The announcement was made by Parton during her Pure & Simple concert tour stop in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on Nov. 15. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Imagination Library.
“I thought long and hard about the best way to honor our achievement of reaching a million children a month,” Parton said. “The Imagination Library is all about inspiring dreams, so what better way to pay tribute to this moment than by helping one special child pursue her college degree. I’m thrilled that today I can let the world know that precious little Evey Johns from Conway, Arkansas will receive a $30,000 scholarship for the college of her choice.”
The scholarship will be held in a special account and distributed to Johns when she enrolls in college. Over the next 16 years, the amount of scholarship should grow to nearly approximately $50,000. Johns is enrolled in the Imagination Library in Conway thanks to the local affiliate in her area, Arkansas Preschool Plus.
“The thought of our daughter Evey going to college has been just that—a thought,” explained Evey’s mother, Connie. “Now, due to the enormous kindness and generosity of the Dollywood Foundation, that thought has now become a reality. Our family now has the means to develop a solid plan for our daughter’s future education. Thank you all so much for this unbelievable opportunity for our daughter.”
In 2016, the Imagination Library and its local partners will gift nearly 11.5 million books to children from birth to age five in participating communities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. To date, the Imagination Library, which is administered through the Dollywood Foundation, has provided more than 85 million books to children around the world.
Arkansas Preschool Plus is just one of the many local affiliates the Dollywood Foundation works with to provide books to children. To provide the Imagination Library, a community must make the program accessible to all preschool children in their area, and the community pays for the books, promotes the program and registers the children. The Dollywood Foundation manages the delivery of books to children’s homes.
Arkansas Preschool Plus enrolls 960 children in Conway, Faulkner and Perry Counties. Currently, nearly 15,000 children are enrolled in Arkansas. The Imagination Library currently is working with elected officials, foundations and corporations in Arkansas in an effort to make the program available to all children from birth to age five in the state.
About Dolly Parton's Imagination Library:

Dolly envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading in children, preparing them for school and inspiring them to dream. Recent studies suggest participation in the Imagination Library is positively and significantly associated with higher measures of early language and math development. Illumination has captivated audiences all over the world with the beloved hits Despicable Me, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Despicable Me 2 and Minions, now the second-highest-grossing animated movie in history. Following the release of this summer’s comedy blockbuster The Secret Life of Pets, Illumination presents Sing this holiday season.
With its highly relatable characters, heart and humor, the first collaboration between writer/director Garth Jennings (Son of Rambow, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) and Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri marks the sixth fully animated feature from the studio.
The event film stars Academy Award® winners Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon, alongside Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and Grammy Award-nominated Tori Kelly.
Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Sing stars Buster Moon (McConaughey), a dapper koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal—some might even say delusional—optimist who loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now faced with the crumbling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition.
Five lead contestants emerge: Mike (MacFarlane), a mouse who croons as smoothly as he cons; Meena (Kelly), a timid teenage elephant with an enormous case of stage fright; Rosita (Witherspoon), an overtaxed mother run ragged tending a litter of 25 piglets; Johnny (Egerton), a young gangster gorilla looking to break free of his family’s felonies; and Ash (Johansson), a punk-rock porcupine struggling to shed her arrogant boyfriend and go solo.
Each arrives under Buster’s marquee believing that this is their shot to change the course of their life. And as Buster coaches each of his contestants closer and closer to the grand finale, he starts to learn that maybe the theater isn’t the only thing that is in need of saving.
Featuring more than 65 hit songs, Sing is produced by Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy. Together, they have produced all of Illumination’s films since the studio’s inception. Released by Universal Pictures, Sing arrives in theaters on December 21, 2016. www.singmovie.com

Los Angeles – based Country music artist Leslie Cours Mather will join host Jon Patch this Saturday, July 23, live on his Talkin’ Pets radio show.
The songstress is now promoting her newest single, the patriotic rallying cry for unity that is “We Are America.” Leslie explains, “With the increasing violence, terrorism, political unrest and division in our country, it seems more important than ever to remember who we are,” Leslie notes. “This is a great country, and I hope people will remember our amazing foundation and the sacrifice it took to become a nation in the first place.”
While her first three singles were targeted specifically at the Country market, “We Are America” was released to radio stations of virtually every genre.
The past 18 months have taken singer/songwriter Leslie Cours Mather on an amazing ride, and it’s one she says she will never forget. “My first single was ‘Countrified’ - which went to the Top 40 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout™ Chart. For a debut single and a newbie who hasn’t had experience with the formal music industry, I was very excited about that. Then, we had ‘Hell Hath No Fury,’ which I started performing on a radio tour.”
The high-octane “That Was The Whiskey” followed, and all three tracks made their mark. Add to that a much-buzzed-about performance at the CMA Music Festival, three videos, plus a Christmas single, and Leslie has established herself as a newcomer of extraordinary talent.
LESLIE COURS MATHER's
"We Are America" A Patriotic Rallying
Cry For Unity; New Single At Radio Now
Mathers wrote the compelling song immediately after 9/11. "I was heartbroken," she recalls. "But all over Los Angeles, you'd see countless American flags flying from cars. Our country was unified - briefly." Leslie, a self-professed Army "brat," admits to feeling a certain level of disappointment when LA Lakers' flags replaced the stars and stripes just a few short months later. "I think that if people are indifferent we have a problem," Mather states. "It seems more important than ever that we remember that we are a people united by this country we call home ... united we stand; divided we fall. That's what 'We Are America' is all about - and why we're releasing it now."
The single is already generating an outpouring of accolades from radio personalities, programmers and music reviewers:
"Her emotional, high-powered delivery leaves no doubt about how close this song is to her heart ... (with) a bold arrangement and a powerful celebratory chorus ... she puts out the call for everyone to band together as Americans ...This is the right time for this song, period, and it's delivered by a singer who's got the goods." - MUSIC NEWS AUSTIN(Rick Moore)
"Perfect song for the times . . . Country listeners will get it." - WKKW Radio (Big John)
"Thank you Leslie for standing up for God, Family, Country and Our Troops! We Love the song and we will always have your back! Stand tall!! You are the real deal!" - COUNTRY THEN AND NOW RADIO (Tommy & Angela Mouser)
"Leslie is inspiring our country with this beautiful patriotic rendition, one note at a time!- ROKU CHANNEL Nashville Country Stars TV (Laura Dodd)
"It's an exceptional song that speaks the words that we all need to hear. Despite all the issues we're dealing with these days, the USA is still the greatest nation on the planet. Thank you for the reminder Leslie." - WMCI Radio (Bub McCullough)
"This is a song that needs to be added, and played, not just on the 4th of July, but year round. Thanks Leslie." - COUNTRY GOLD NETWORK (Mike Carlin)
"Leslie is back with a song to pull us together in these times of division and indecision. 'We Are America' should tug at the hearts of all Americans. With attacks from outside and inside, "We Are America" IS the song we need to hear." - KDKD RADIO (Dave Young)
"We Are America" shows Mather in a new light. Her previous three MusicRow
CountryBreakout™ Chart singles ("That Was The Whiskey," "Hell Hath No Fury," "Countrified") were targeted at Country audiences and more focused on the singer's sense of fun and showcasing her amazing vocal versatility. Appealing to a broader scope of listeners, the new release takes an unapologetic patriotic stand. "I always try to bring a message of hope and goodness into my music," Leslie says. "I think anyone from a military family has a heightened sense of patriotism; I certainly do - and my hope is to see people fall in love with America again."
Produced by Denny Diante (Elton John, Barbra Streisand, B.B. King) and recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, the single features Country/Rock band Calabama on the powerful repeated chorus. Leslie recalls, "The atmosphere was a creative person's paradise, and when we started adding the talents of Brent Mason, Bobby Terry and Buddy Hyatt, it just kept getting better and better. Every layer we added - musicians, lead vocals, background vocals, the mix, the master - the song just got more and more powerful."
