Washington D.C., January 6, 2012 --   In collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and the Blu-ray/DVD release of its birding comedy The Big Year, Born Free USA has launched a national bird photo contest to support the appreciation, protection, and survival of birds the wild.

The Born Free USA “Free Bird Photo Contest” kicked off this week in conjunction with the 10^th Anniversary of National Bird Day, and ends on January 31, 2012, the release date of The Big Year on Blu-ray and DVD.  The top 20 winners of the photo contest will all receive a Blu-ray or DVD copy of The Big Year.  The first prize winner will also receive a pair Visionary 8x42 waterproof binoculars, among other gifts.
