Beefy the Bulldog, a skateboarding English Bulldog has joined forces with B4BC (Boarding for Breast Cancer), to help the organization promote early detection + a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention. Beefy the Bulldog will skateboard at B4BC events, Music festivals, Pet Expos and skate parks in major cities across the US to raise money for breast cancer awareness, especially amongst girls in their teens and 20's.
The cause is dear to Beefy’s heart. Beefy's Mom, Erin, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 25, and they have worked together to raise close to $20,000 for breast cancer causes. Beefy wants to put his popularity to use by creating fun family events around the country to encourage the nation to 'Be Healthy. Get Active. Skate!'
Beefy’s goal is raise $10,000 to begin a nationwide tour to promote early detection and educate women in their teens and 20s about breast cancer. Beefy's journey will be created into a documentary to share with all of his fans and increase breast cancer awareness. Beefy is a five year old English Bulldog who spreads laughter and smiles on the streets of New York City daily as he skateboards by. He has been skateboarding since he was 4 months old.
